Blood Management Beyond the Blood Bank
The BloodTrack Suite is comprised of a number of innovative products. Each product can be
implemented independently or together to form the world's most complete blood management
solution:
Ensures the right blood products are given to the right patient using handheld
PDAs at the bedside.
Electronically controls and tracks the movement of blood
products in and out of hospital refrigerators.
Includes all the features of BloodTrack Courier as well as the ability to remotely
allocate blood units at remote refrigerators stocked with previously unallocated ABO
blood.
HemoSafe dispenses individual blood units quickly and safely from 150 refrigerated
compartments, even printing the compatibility label (transfusion tag) for
unallocated blood. A smaller HemoNine
refrigerator also available with 9 locking drawers.
Enables caregivers to query the location of blood units and check the status of
transfusions from the nursing station (also includes all the features of AutoFate).
Allows the fate of a blood unit (end transfusion confirmation) to be recorded at the
nursing station and electronically sent to the blood bank.
Maintains a central repository of transfusion and blood movement
events to enable a full audit trail.
The BloodTrack suite of products is extremely modular and flexible, applications
can be installed individually or as a complete system. The following is an example
