BloodTrack Tx Provides Positive Patient Identification
Using AutoPPI, each patient can be identified
by the barcoded information printed on a wristband. This ensures positive
identification of each and every patient before transfusion, thus eliminating
near-misses and errors relating to patient identification.
BloodTrack Tx Ensures Correctly and Clearly Labeled Specimen Tubes
BloodTrack Tx captures patient information by scanning their wristbands. Both machine
and human readable patient information are then printed on the sample labels. This saves
time and eliminates transcription errors.
BloodTrack Tx Ensures that the Patient Receives the Right Blood
BloodTrack Tx matches patient information, compatibility label and blood unit number before
starting the transfusion to ensure the blood is right for the patient. This is all
done by a handheld PDA at the patient's bedside.
BloodTrack Tx Provides an Audit Trail
Tx records the following information electronically:
- Caregiver and device ID of each interaction
- Arrival time of the blood unit on the ward
- Start, finish and observation times for the transfusion of each unit
- Patient details including hospital number, last name, first name, date of birth, gender, reactions, vitals
- Blood unit details including donation number, product code, product description, volume
BloodTrack Tx is Easy to Use
Using 1D and 2D barcodes (or RFID), inputting patient and caregiver information has never been
easier. Tx guides and prompts the caregiver in a step-by-step manner to ensure all
required information are entered.Read about customer success stories using Tx in the Press Room.
