Simpler Safer Health Care
LacTrack® Courier
Mother's Milk Management Beyond the Milk Bank
Using LacTrack, the Milk Bank can rest assured that expired, incompatible, or improperly
stored milk products never reach the baby's bedside. In addition, the detailed storage
history of each milk container is just a click away.

Example - Moving Milk Out of a Refrigerator
A handheld PDA version of LacTrack Courier is also available for decentralized milk banks.
- Identify the user - Every user of LacTrack Courier will have an identification code; usually a barcode attached to their identification badge. Simply put the badge under the scanner to log in.
- Choose In or Out - To place the containers in the refrigerator, touch the "IN" picture; to take units out, touch the "OUT" picture.
- Scan Milk Containers - Now pass the milk container under the barcode scanner. The scanner will read the unique barcoded number and patient information printed by the LacTrack SafeLx or Preparation modules.
- Scan Patient Information - You can configure the system to request for patient information at this point, to confirm the blood unit is the correct one. Just scan the patient information from the SafeLx Pickup Slip and LacTrack Courier will check it for you.
- Confirm Transaction - LacTrack Courier will check the expiry date and storage time and tell you if the milk is safe to use. If there is a problem, there will be instructions on the screen for the user. LacTrack Courier will lock the fridge door and wait for the next user.

The complete LacTrack
Suite is built using state-of-the-art development tools and
technologies. It easily scales to work from the smallest hospital to the largest
multiple site health care provider. The system includes a comprehensive series of
reports, but each user can also directly connect to the Microsoft SQL Server database
and develop their own custom reports and queries.
