Test Request Processing
PathRequest Manager manages pathology requests from a number of sources simultaneously
including:
- Handheld computers at the patient bedside (PathRequest Mobile and PathCollect)
- Ward computer terminals (PathRequest Desktop)
- GP requests generated by practice management software (PathRequest GP via tQuest by Indigo4)
- Direct terminal entry at lab reception (PathRequest Manager)
How it works
From these various sources, PathRequest Manager:
- Collects the test orders
- Via your network as in the case of ward terminals
- Via the wireless network as in the case of the bedside handhelds
- Via NHS Net as in the case of GP test requests
- Checks for errors and completeness in these orders according to the predefined rules customized for your needs. Errors can be corrected right there and then or at a later time.
- Transfers orders directly into your existing Laboratory Information System (LIS) upon sample arrival. If for any reason, the samples do not arrive in the laboratory, the pending file can be reviewed at any time for any outstanding tests.
- Creates a pending file of all the tests entered into the system, with their current status.
